I’ve been actively reading Quora answers since July this year (2019).

Actively, as in, at least 10 questions and their top answers a day.

On an average, I bookmark 2 answers a day. I bookmark the ones that make the most impact on me during the day.

So in the spirit of redistributing and having an easier access to my favorite ones, I decided to publicly post them on here on a daily basis.

The following question and answer were actually suggested to me on my home page today and I read them a few minutes prior to publishing this article.

How can I make myself better each day?

Use your mornings wisely.

What do you do every morning? Wake up at a certain time, look at your phone for 20 minutes, take a shower, get some food and rush out to work or school?

Probably somewhere close to that one.

I was someone who woke up so late, that I just woke up and rushed to the school, didn’t even had time for a shower.

But I understood that this is not the way to live and that I had to change things up.

So this is what I do now:

  • I started waking up 1–2 hours earlier than I was supposed to.
  • Don’t touch my phone for the first hour of the day.

I do a small morning routine that consists of (total 30 minutes):

  • Doing 40 push-ups
  • Meditating for 10 minutes
  • Journalling for 10 minutes

Next, I do the most important things that move me forward in life, this can be the following:

  • Reading a book
  • Taking a course online
  • Working on coaching
  • Creating amazing stuff.
  • Afterward, I get myself ready to go where I have to go.

The whole point of this is, wake up a couple of hours earlier and use that extra time you’ve created to really work on yourself, and if you do this every morning, I bet you will be a changed man/woman in no time.

Side Notes

I’ve been meaning to write an article about this.

On many occasions, I’ve heard and even said the following sentence myself:

“So many things to do, so little time.”.

It was a sign that I was doing something wrong with my time.

A few months ago, I became very conscious about what I do with my time and I started dedicating the first 2 hours after I wake up, to my business: My body and soul.

I gotta say, this has helped me advance in life tremendously.

Here is, quickly, what I usually do within those two hours:

  • Drink 1 or 2 glasses of water
  • Meditate
  • Pray
  • Read the previous day’s journal (yes, I have a personal diary)
  • Check out what I have to do for the day
  • Prioritize the things I REALLY have to do (80/20 rule)
  • Improve a skill (dancing, gaming, programming…)
  • Read at least 5 pages of a book (mostly self-development, business and finance books)

I don’t do them all in the day by the way, I schedule them throughout the week, but they ultimately get done within those two hours.

You may notice there’s no exercising in there. I leave this for a little bit after those two hours, because I wake up at 4 AM.

One thing to note is that it’s all about gradual progress. I didn’t start waking up at 4 AM, I started with 6:30 and ultimately got there.

I also didn’t start with doing all those things within those two hours, I gradually added more, the better I could manage my time.

Step by step, with patience and in silence.
